Behind TSF

I wanted to create something from feeling.

I have always been deeply influenced by art. The idea of creating a world one could get lost in. This visual diary is the world I always imagined myself a part of. It’s a world where I get to be free from the constraints of society, time, and space.

  • film– a lovestory.

    I grew up with a camera in my face — not intrusive, but adoring.

    My mother was always ready, handycam balanced in her palm or film tucked carefully inside her camera. She chased our splendor the way others chase dreams, determined to hold each bright, fleeting moment still — to keep time from stealing what was beautiful. It was in those moments I fell in love with video and film.

    It is a medium that comes natural to me and I am forever grateful to my mother for showing the importance of the documentation of one’s life.

  • the identity of being a writer.

    I was always afraid to claim it, because in doing so that would mean I would have to take pen to paper and to release the pain, love, and longing that has been locked away in the attic of my mind for over a decade.

    I had to be honest with myself. I was getting older, sun damage and self reflection reminded me of that.

    The pain of staying the same hurt so much more than the pain of vulnerability. I have to for the first time follow my fear- because for the first time it is followed by faith.

  • creating a world of my own.

    I imagined it in fragments at first. I longed for it so deeply and profoundly. I didn’t know if it would ever be real — only that I carried it with me like a secret.

    I always felt crazy for wanting this life, one where I would live by my pen and that it could exist just for me, a life of poetry and imagery- alive.

    This Sweet Feeling came to me in a dream and it begged to be tangible. It begged for breath, for a long time I denied it’s life and in doing that I denied my soul.

    twenty twenty-six the year I decided to no longer deny the dearest most personal thing to me, my dreams.
